East Durham and Sunderland

Hi! I'm Megan and I own The Playgroup East Durham and Sunderland. I was a pilot franchisee and have owned the business for over 2 years!

I have two girls - a 3 year old and a nearly 1 year old. I was a primary school teacher for 6 years (specifically early years) and love working with children. When I had my first little girl, I knew I needed a better work/life balance. The Playgroup is perfect for this. I can dictate my hours and can work around my children easily. I never thought I'd be able to be my own boss, mainly because of a lack of experience. Becoming a Playgroup franchisee has strengthened my confidence and the training I recieved and continue to recieve is fantastic.

I really love my job. I love seeing your little ones grow, seeing parents become more confident and relaxed in our classes and I have even made life-long friends myself through it.

I am a trained baby massage and baby yoga instructor, mental health first aid trained and also paediatric first aid trained.
